Lately I’ve been weary of getting too hyped on an album after hearing only one track because more often than not, it can lead to disappointment, especially with a new artist. With that being said disappointment is the exact opposite of what I felt when I came across 19 year old UK producer BEAR//FACE and his debut Beat Tape release. A good few newcomers have been coming out in full force, packing an arsenal of hard hitting, musical gold and things are no different when it comes to BEAR//FACE. Each track is filled to the brim with dazzling electronics that brightly shine with a sharp, crisp tone as they pour forth from the speakers into your ears and judging from the way that various styles are effortlessly stitched together, you just might think that BEAR//FACE is some kind of magical production wizard. It’s damn near impossible not to get hyped while you listen to this EP and its captivating sound makes it a release that’s well worth leaving on repeat or coming back to time and time again. I’m surprised at how much I love this EP, not because I didn’t think I would enjoy it but because it basically came at me from pretty much nowhere and left me simply astonished and wanting more. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for this guy in the future but for now head over to bandcamp and grab his beat tape.
